MAIN LINE traces the structural relationship between traditional Azerbaijani carpet systems and the architecture of digital technologies. Presented as a video installation, the work draws out the parallels between the semantic logic of woven pattern and the organizational principles of the motherboard.
Within this framework, the carpet is approached not as an object of heritage, but as a living system of encoded information. Knots are read as conductive lines; ornamental structures become circuits — traditional pattern recast as a visual language of transmission and connectivity.
The project positions cultural memory as a form of data: something structured, repeatable, and capable of being reactivated within contemporary technological contexts. Through this act of translation, a continuous line emerges between past and present — one in which traditional knowledge systems and digital infrastructures are revealed to operate within a shared logic.
